It’ll have to be quick as well as we’re about to go and see Jools Holland & Marc Almond. Wheeee!!
I’ve been using it for about four days so far, and have had a complete mother of a time trying to get it calibrated. It’s still not completely spot on but it’s getting close. Perhaps it’s the amazing brightness of the Dell.. not sure, but the fact is I think the Cintiq could definitely benefit from a better/brighter screen. Handling is good, no problems with viewing angle, although the “adjustable” angle is far from that. If I don’t have it on it’s lowest slant it just ends up there anyway as soon as I put some pressure on it.. not totally ideal, as it means my posture is not so great.
Both images were rendered in Alias Sketchbook Pro which works a treat on the Cintiq. I bought a copy of the latest version of Open Canvas a week or so ago, so I will be scribbling away to see how that copes soon. Anyway, I shall write more later when I have more time. In other news, I have added five more images to the Character gallery, and intend to add some more shortly. I’ve also just upgraded the lightbox plugin as it appeared to be broken in Firefox 3, and upgraded to WordPress 2.6.
