I have the same problem with the 12WX. Our blinds are down permanently. Also, I still have a rotten time trying to calibrate the colour between the Cintiq and my Dell monitor. Greens are particularly hard.

Even getting an expensive Spyder calibrater hasn't helped much. :(

The adjustable stand looks nice! I wonder if there's a way to tell if the screen is brighter than the 12WX. I can't use mine in a room with drawn shades during the daytime...

Not as bad as you might think really. It's only around £200 -£300 more than the older 21UX Cintiq, which recently had a major revamp. Given that my weenie 12WX is £800 - £900, depending on where you shop, £2,009.00 is not that bad. Particularly given the advanced parallel motion style stand.

But I have more pressing needs, sadly. :(

That was done on the desktop version, though I do have the iPad version as well. And a whole heap of fun it is, being able to sit on the sofa and paint :D.

The puck is the ui 'disc' that you use to control brush size on the fly, (and canvas rotation, scale etc)... the latest update made it control opacity as well to bring it inline with the iOS version, which I have fundamental issues with. On the tablet, pen pressure should control opacity.... it's like buying a dog and barking yourself.

That's just me being pedantic I suppose. Might try and do a few doodles today as I'm stuck at whippet racing with mum... Hah.

This looks great. Was it drawn with the iPad version of SBPro? And what is this "puck?"

Hello, long time no see! :)

I know what you mean, over complicated doesn't even cover it. I doubt I'll ever use any of the full-on comic book production stuff. ComicWorks... ah I miss it, it doesn't work for me at all on Windows 7 now, I just about got it running but the language pack won't stick so I gave up.

I seem to struggle to get anythng resembling smooth inking out of MS. I do use the blob brush for inking (after a fashion), but it seems a bit limited. I only discovered it recently and was quite chuffed with the way it worked, I haven't tried to create any custom brushes for it, not sure if you even can...

I despise the interface for MS. I still much prefer ComicWorks (and wish that an updated English version was available).

I'm intrigued by your mention of the blob brush in Illustrator. There are a lot of things I love in CS5, but the blob brush isn't one of them. Do you use it to ink?
