WordPress 2.5

Well, I took the opportunity of having to delete my entire site to give everything a good scrub, though I haven’t finished yet. And lo and behold what do I see when I get my dashboard up and running? WordPress 2.5 is out.. and it’s gorn all Web 2.0.

So this is just me testing out the new ‘Gallery’ feature. If it’s good enough I may switch over to using that, though I still love Lightbox, it’s elegant and works well. We shall see. In the meantime, while I’m dicking about, have a hedgehog.

Shiny and Almost New

The site has been a bit b0rked all week I know, I had a little hiccup and thanks to my very good friends awesomely knowledgeable son I’m now back up and running. Not that anyone will actually read this as … I’ve re-ordered the site! Buahahahahaa..

I’ve been wanting to switch the WordPress install into the root of the site for a long time now, and with me doing a database download and nuking the whole shebang, now seemed like a good time. Unfortunately I realise this means if I ever had anyone reading this, their bookmarks and RSS readers will now return a folorn nothingness.

Hope you guys can find your way back….

I am Leopard…

Here me… um… meow.

Leopard

Sooo.. my other half generously bought me a copy of Leopard for my Macbook, and whaddya know.. After two days trying to connect to our local network (I could get on the net but not see the shared Windows workgroup to transfer files and such).. I finally managed it, with a little help from Google.

It seems there’s a ‘bug’ where you have to rename the location of the LAN, delete the ‘Automatic’ and then rename the LAN to ‘Automatic’ and bingo! your workgroup miraculously appears.

/sigh. At least it’s done now I guess, hopefully I’ll still be able to log in to my BT wifi access when out and about, not that I’m ever ‘out and about’ much these days.
