I’ve been mooching about on historic costume image galleries. I always find if I’m stuck for a bit of inspiration, which can happen a lot, that these old source books can be great. I have quite a few ‘public domain’ books full of engravings of historical dress and architecture myself. Dover Press has a cool collection, and no they didn’t pay me to say that.
It’s been an odd week, full of ups and downs and a lot of late nights.. and I didn’t get the holiday I’d planned to take, but hopefully I’ll kicking back over Easter and taking a few days off that week to take full advantage of bookending it with bank holidays, so I can stretch a four day weekend out into ooohhh….. 11 days. Yahooooo. I’m thinking about taking the time to do what I had intended to do over Christmas and revamp the site. It may mean that the structure of the site itself changes, as I’ve been thinking about putting wordpress into the root of the domain. Currently everything in the site is in /blog2… which made sense when I’d just converted from Blogger all those years ago… but it doesn’t make a great deal of sense now.
I want to hang the front page off wordpress, and now I can do that there seems to really good reason to have a flash entry page. Plus, I kinda want to get rid of this flash header as it slows the gallery script down. Plus, I’m just plain bored of it and I want to get my web interest back up and running. I’ve been complacant and inactive on a personal work front for far too long.
