GMail RSS

I just noticed that my GMail inbox has an RSS feed. How strange, can’t really see the point in it, as I have the Firefox GMail notifier extension installed anyway.

Oh, and I still have Gmail invites going if anyone wants one, just mail me on this addy and I’ll send one by return. Cos I’m nice like that.

See the World…

…. Thru Fairy Liquid.

I’ve had flu all week (since Boxing Day) so I decided to bugger about with the camera this afternoon.. taking pictures through a bottle of washing up liquid: Fairy, natch. Now I come to think of it there’s two more bottles under the sink of equally irridescent hues. Might have another crack at it with those tomorrow.. arf.

There’s no photoshoppery in that, it really is that colour.. though I’ve no doubt the flash caused some of the brightness. Hopefully having sat awake determined not to drop off my perch all night I won’t be sat up till 6.30 am again, as I was this morning….

Inelegantly Wasted

Watching the documentary on Kurosawa’s Ran earlier this evening I was struck by how wonderfully craggy and lived in some of the faces of his long term film-crew members were. Tv and dvd can be utterly inspiring at times for just quickly sketching out memorable faces, particularly current affairs progs like Question Time, where the participants are sat still for a good 45 minutes. Though the prospect of sketching a chinless wonder like Peter Hitchens holds no real appeal. Unless it is a cartoon of him sinking into the seventh circle of hell, accompanied by the Daily Express.

Oh and if he could take Anne Robinson and her mealy mouthed tv show at the same time that would be good too.

I deliberately haven’t said anything about the earthquake as there’s nothing to add really, I can’t pray for people as I’m an athiest, so we’ve taken lots of useable (I hope) stuff down to the charity shop. There’s lots of blogs out there with links to donation and help sites. So I’ll just leave a link to this page on the BBC which has lots of details on.
