Downtime Part Deux

It looks like some of the php files that drive the forum have become knackered for no good reason. I’m trying to fix the problem, but in the meantime there’s no way to start a new topic or reply to an existing post. Sorry. I’ll blog as soon as I get it sorted.

Sniper 470

… is now Downloadable. , just right click and ‘save target as’ if you want to, of course…

Waiting Vol. 2

Hey if Tarantino can do it so can I.

Well, the dvd was shipped on Thursday, so fingers (and anything else that’ll move more than an inch) it should be here by Friday. Then I’ll have to find almost 4 hrs to sit down and watch it…

I’ve added a “Getting into the Games Industry” thread on the foum that has a somewhat chubby list of links in, hopefully it will be of use to some. I harvested the links from all over the show, sites I use, sites that are linked on sites I use and some from Google. The agency that found me the position with Deep Red is also in there, I found them very helpful when I was looking for work.

I see that Photoshop CS’s brush tools are vastly improved on PS7, so many different attributes now, including ‘smoothing’ which almost completely eradicates that immensely irritating geometric curve that used to happen when using the Wacom tablet. bout blummin’ time if ye ask me. Hopefully this will mean that inking will be a more viable prospect in PS from now on, switching from Painter to PS and back again to do inking is a bit annoying.

Have been trying to stay on my drawing board today and brush up on my pencil drawing (with a real pencil ! ), can’t say as I did a huge amount, but at least I did something other than sit in front of this PC all day for a change. Which reminds me, I think I’ll start scanning in some of the B&W stuff I’ve been meaning to put on the site. Better late than never I guess…
